MyDreamCompanion Review: Tested in September 2026 – Roleplay, Live Call & Pricing

Roméo
Roméo·AI Tester · Founder

I tested MyDreamCompanion on September 3, 2026. I liked the design straight away, but the part that stayed with me was the roleplay. With Robin, I woke up after a shipwreck and immediately had a situation to respond to. With Kelly, I tried a different setup and enjoyed the dialogue just as much. Honestly, I could see myself getting drawn into these stories.

That does not make this a completely new kind of AI girlfriend platform. My impression was of a well-executed, very adult experience with good visuals, some rough edges and a familiar feature set. The prominent Live Call section caught my attention, while the explicit Trending Videos are something readers should know about before opening the site.

This review is shorter than some of my others, but that does not mean I disliked MyDreamCompanion. I simply found many features I had already seen elsewhere. I would rather get to the point than pad the article by repeating the same things.

My verdict in 30 seconds

  • Best part: Robin and Kelly’s roleplay, good dialogue and attractive visuals.
  • Best suited to: adults who want an established story with chat, images, video and voice options.
  • Main drawbacks: a slightly artificial image-to-video transition, occasional feed lag and little that felt genuinely new.
  • Content warning: explicit material appears in discovery areas, not just private conversations.
  • Observed price: a promotional Premium annual offer of $69.99 in my screenshot; plan and credit details below.
  • Rating: 9/10.

Calls lead the homepage, while Trending Videos make the adult focus clear.

A design I liked, with an unmistakably adult storefront

The dark background, large character cards and pink-orange accents work well together. I like the overall design: it feels inviting to explore, with the characters taking centre stage and navigation along the side.

Jump into Live Call sits high on the homepage, above a row of Call Me buttons. My impression is that calls are the feature MyDreamCompanion wants to lead with. That is an interpretation of the layout, not evidence that every character has identical calling capabilities.

The Trending Videos can be explicitly NSFW immediately. That did not bother me while testing an adult platform, but it deserves a clear warning. I would not describe this as a discreet romance app that is comfortable to open anywhere.

Finding a character: plenty of tags and ready-made stories

I liked the range of tags on the homepage. The cards combine a portrait with a personality and a short premise, while labels cover appearance, temperament and relationship dynamics. That gives me more to choose from than a face alone: I can look for a type of story.

Character cards combine appearance, personality and a roleplay premise.

Registration and character creation: the limits of this test

The official terms describe email, Google or Discord registration and limited free access. The site also offers character creation. I did not document the complete custom-character workflow: I focused on existing characters, particularly Robin and Kelly. I cannot give the creator a hands-on verdict from this test.

Robin’s roleplay was the real highlight

The “Let’s Get Started” tips

Before starting my first session from the Live Call area, I saw a tips window explaining the main controls. It covered regenerating and deleting messages, switching to image mode, opening the audio-call menu and accessing settings. I liked having those options explained before the conversation got going.

Waking up after a shipwreck

Robin’s opening places me on an uninhabited Caribbean island after a shipwreck. She is a 22-year-old scientist with a sarcastic streak, and the survival premise gives the conversation somewhere to go immediately.

Robin, 22: a shipwreck premise and a video preview inside the conversation.

When I comment on the beautiful view, she steers the exchange back towards the debris, water and practical problems. That is what made the scene work for me. Her reply has a personality and stays connected to the situation instead of simply flattering me. Narrative passages also give the scene movement.

Robin’s reply stays with the survival premise and her sarcastic tone.

I genuinely liked the dialogue. A promising opening is not proof of flawless memory or consistency over weeks, but this was enough to make me want to continue the story.

What I mean by Live Call, video and voice

I entered through a section labelled Live Call, but the resulting experience combined a story, text chat and media. The tips window itself separates image mode from the audio-call menu. I therefore would not treat a video received in chat as proof of a continuously generated video call. My evidence is strongest for roleplay and visuals; I do not have reliable voice-latency or lip-sync measurements to report.

Kelly gave me another good roleplay experience

I also tried Kelly, a 20-year-old character introduced in a library setting. The premise was different, but I again found the roleplay very good. I have not tested the entire catalogue, and I do not need to pretend otherwise: these two sessions are the basis of my positive impression.

Kelly brings a different setting and dynamic; I enjoyed this second session too.

As with Candy AI, I can ask my AI girlfriend for a particular pose in the chat. The adult direction is clear. What interests me is the combination of a story and supporting media, rather than images replacing the conversation. Roleplay was the part I enjoyed most.

Images and video: familiar tools, good results

I received a video of Robin directly in the conversation and thought the quality was very good. The transition from a still image into video was not completely natural; I could notice the change. Still, I found it perfectly acceptable overall.

The separate generator follows a familiar pattern. My screenshot shows a character, action, visual model, location, outfit, Premium-labelled custom prompt and image count. The workflow did not feel innovative, but the visual quality impressed me.

This configuration costs 6 Coins for two images; it is not a universal rate.

In that particular configuration, the button shows 6 Dream Coins for 2 images. I would not present that as a universal rate. Different settings or media types may cost differently, and I did not capture a complete video or calling price list.

The video feed occasionally felt slow

There is a vertical feed too. I experienced some lag while scrolling through its videos. I cannot separate the site’s performance from media loading or my connection, so this is an observation from my session, not a benchmark.

The feed can also contain explicit material. I have left out the most graphic screenshot because it adds nothing necessary to this review. Sensitive areas in the retained screenshots are blurred where needed.

MyDreamCompanion pricing: subscriptions and Coins are separate limits

My September 3 screenshot shows a promotional Premium annual subscription billed at $69.99 upfront, advertised as $0.19 per day. It also shows a 70% discount and a temporary bonus. I would not assume either offer is permanent.

Annual Ultimate $299.88/year; $24.99/month equivalent 800 Dream Coins Official page checked September 3

Monthly equivalents are not month-to-month subscriptions. The exact monthly plan price and renewal amount still need checking at checkout. Premium advertises unlimited messages and access to media and calling features. That does not mean unlimited generations or calls: the Coin balance is a separate constraint.

I would start with the limited free access to see whether I enjoy the characters, without relying on an unverified message quota. Before paying, I would check the total charge, next billing date and Coin cost of the features I actually want to use.

The terms require cancellation before renewal and restrict refunds, subject to local rights. This is not legal advice.

Privacy: “Private & Secure” is not a security audit

The privacy policy describes advertising and analytics trackers, plus possible identity checks through Didit involving documents and biometrics. I have not audited the service’s security. I would avoid sharing sensitive details or identifiable intimate images. This is an adults-only service.

What worked for me—and what did not

What I liked

  • An attractive, visual interface.
  • Robin and Kelly’s ready-made scenarios.
  • Good dialogue in both sessions.
  • Good image quality and Robin’s video.
  • A broad tag selection and useful chat controls.

My reservations

  • The image-to-video transition felt slightly artificial.
  • The feed occasionally lagged.
  • Explicit content appeared early in discovery.
  • Media spending needs tracking alongside the subscription.
  • Little felt genuinely new compared with competitors.

Alternatives I would compare

I would use Candy AI as a comparison for chat and image requests, look at Lovescape AI when comparing Live Camera experiences, and explore Nectar AI for another take on scenarios and roleplay. My individual reviews explain the differences; these are not interchangeable products.

My final verdict: enjoyable, without reinventing the category

I liked MyDreamCompanion. The design is cool, the dialogue is good and Robin and Kelly made me want to keep playing. The visuals hold up well, even if the transition into video still has room to improve.

I did not find the major innovation that would put it in a category of its own. For me, this is a well-executed adult roleplay platform. I plan to test it again in a few months to see how the calls, responsiveness and creative options develop.

MyDreamCompanion FAQ

Is MyDreamCompanion free?

The platform advertises limited free access. I would use it to explore the characters’ tone, not assume that media and calling are free or unlimited.

Does the homepage show NSFW content?

Yes. During my test, Trending Videos included explicit content immediately, and the feed could display it too.

Are Live Calls a real video call?

The section name alone does not establish that. My session combined roleplay, chat and media, with a separate audio-call menu. I did not verify continuous real-time video generation.

How good is the dialogue?

I really enjoyed Robin and Kelly. Robin stayed with the shipwreck premise and her sarcastic personality. I would not generalise those sessions to every character or long-term memory.

What was the main video drawback?

I liked the quality of Robin’s video, but the transition from the still image did not look completely natural.

Is Premium’s $69.99 price monthly?

No. My screenshot shows annual billing. It was a promotional offer observed during the test and should be checked again before purchase.
